OUR TEAM

Our volunteers are all Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Physiotherapy students from the University of Melbourne. Each member of our team is passionate about health education and ensuring every Australian knows about the importance of concussion. Our volunteers have varied backgrounds with many being sports trainers and medics, first aid officers, sports coaches and others being involved in concussion research.

In order to ensure you receive the highest quality presentations based on the most up-to-date data on concussion, we hold regular education events throughout the year for our volunteers. Previous presenters include A/Prof Alan Pearce (Neurophysiologist), Dr Michael Makdissi (Sports Physician and Hawthorn FC Doctor), Dr Peter Harcourt (AFL Chief Medical Officer) and Mr Ian Pendergast (Former General Manager of Player Relations, AFL Players Assoc. and ex- Carlton FC footballer).

Our volunteers who travel to schools are supported by a subcommittee of eight, dedicated volunteers who facilitate the day to day running of our education division.

We look forward to introducing you to our wonderful team when we visit a school or organisation near you.
